Legends of the Southern Council's nominations should be submitted directly to the Legends' Committee. Committee members include VP of Membership, Pat Smith and Dennis Slane. If you don't have the contact information for these two individuals, send the information to the Managing Director or any of the other elected officers by August 1st annually (to allow time for voting and getting banner additions made before the annual fly fishing fair).
Nomination Requirements:
- Individual MUST BE OR HAS BEEN be a MEMBER of the FFI for a minimum of eight (8) years.
- The individual may be living or deceased.
- Contributed a substantial amount of extraordinary achievements, new frontiers,
- The Adoption of a full time Legends Committee to review all applications for addition to the position.
- Each person who is submitted to the Legends Committee for consideration must be accompanied by a fee of $100.00 which is to cover the modification of our award. Any funds which are over and above the cost of such posting shall go to the Legends Scholarship Fund.
- The Legends Committee will have authority for accepting or rejecting any names which may come before it with the final phase being acceptance by a majority of the Executive Committee.
Approval must be granted by the Legends Committee, approval voted by the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
